The Breakhaus Studio Rentals Terms & Conditions
By booking The Breakhaus studio, you agree to the following terms and house rules. Please treat the space and everyone in it with care.
1. Bookings
Bookings can be made by email at info@thebreakhaus.com.
Your booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from The Breakhaus.
All bookings include the time required for setup and cleanup and are subject to these Terms & Conditions and House Rules.
2. Payments & Cancellations
An invoice will be issued after your booking and must be paid within 14 days.
Cancellations made 30 days or more before the booking date may be cancelled at no charge.
Cancellations made less than 30 days before the booking date are not eligible for a refund but may be transferred to another available date within three months, subject to availability.
No-shows will be charged the full booking amount.
All prices are subject to applicable taxes.
3. Liability
You are responsible for yourself, your team, your guests and any equipment or belongings brought into the studio.
Any damage, loss or theft must be reported to The Breakhaus before leaving the space.
Renters are expected to carry appropriate third-party liability insurance for their activities.
The Breakhaus is not responsible for injury, fines, loss, theft or damage to personal property.
4. House Rules
Please treat the space, furniture and equipment with care.
Setup and cleanup time must be included in your booking.
No shoes on furniture.
No smoking or vaping anywhere inside the space.
Alcohol is permitted only with prior approval.
Nude shoots are not permitted.
Food and beverages are permitted only in designated areas. Please clean up thoroughly after use.
Emergency exits and access routes must remain clear at all times.
Open flames and unattended candles are not permitted.
Confetti, glitter, sand, body makeup, loose pigments or sparkles are not permitted on furniture or in the studio.
Furniture may be rearranged with care but must be returned to its original position before leaving.
The Breakhaus reserves the right to charge for additional cleaning, damage or restoration required as a result of a booking.
5. Privacy & Content
Security cameras are in use on-site for safety and security purposes.
With your permission, The Breakhaus may photograph or share content created in the space for promotional purposes.
6. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in or under the jurisdiction of British Columbia.
The Breakhaus Experiences Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket to a Breakhaus experience, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully before purchasing.
1. Tickets & Payment
Tickets are sold on a per-person basis and must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
Ticket prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes and gratuity, as indicated at checkout.
Your ticket includes only the items specifically stated in the individual experience description.
Tickets are valid only for the experience and date purchased.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
Due to the nature of our events and the costs involved in planning and preparing each experience, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations, missed events or unused tickets.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another guest, subject to our ticket-transfer policy below.
3. Ticket Transfers
Tickets may be transferred to another person with at least 24 hours' notice before the event.
Please contact us at info@thebreakhaus.com with the original guest's name and the new guest's full name and contact information.
The Breakhaus is not responsible for arranging or facilitating the transfer of payment between guests.
4. Weather & Postponement
Our outdoor experiences are generally held rain or shine. Weather is considered part of the experience, and guests should dress accordingly.
If an experience must be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, tickets will automatically be honoured for the rescheduled date.
If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a credit equal to the original ticket purchase amount, valid toward another Breakhaus experience within six months.
No monetary refunds will be issued in the event of a postponement.
5. Event Changes
Breakhaus reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the menu, chef, beverage selection, location, schedule or other event details when circumstances require.
Where possible, guests will be notified of significant changes in advance.
We cannot guarantee that every advertised element will remain unchanged, as each experience involves independent chefs, producers, venues, weather and other external factors.
6. Dietary Requirements & Allergies
Guests are responsible for informing The Breakhaus of any dietary restrictions or food allergies at the time of booking or as soon as possible before the event.
Due to the family-style nature of our meals and the menus created by different Featured Chefs, we cannot guarantee that all dietary restrictions or food allergies can be accommodated.
Vegetarian options may be available for select experiences and will be identified in the individual event description.
Guests with severe allergies should contact us before purchasing to confirm whether their needs can be accommodated.
While we will communicate disclosed allergies to the appropriate culinary team, The Breakhaus cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
7. Alcohol & Age Requirement
Guests must be 21 or older to attend experiences where alcohol is served.
Valid government-issued identification may be requested.
Outside alcohol or beverages are not permitted.
Each experience includes its own beverage selection, as outlined in the individual event description.
Guests are responsible for drinking responsibly. The Breakhaus reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to anyone who appears intoxicated.
8. Children & Guests
Due to the length, format and nature of our experiences, children are not permitted unless otherwise specifically stated in the individual event description.
Tickets are required for all guests attending an experience.
9. Accessibility
Our experiences take place at a variety of locations, and accessibility varies by venue.
If you have accessibility requirements, please contact info@thebreakhaus.com before purchasing your ticketso we can determine whether the specific location can accommodate your needs.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate guests where possible.
10. Pets & Service Animals
Pets are not permitted at Breakhaus experiences.
Registered service animals required because of a disability may be accommodated where permitted by the venue and applicable law. Please contact us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
11. Transportation
Transportation may be available for select event at an additional cost.
Where offered, transportation details, pickup locations and pricing will be provided in the individual event description.
Guests using event transportation are responsible for arriving at the designated pickup location on time.
Breakhaus cannot guarantee transportation for guests who miss the scheduled departure.
12. Photography & Video
Photography and video may be taken throughout Breakhaus experiences.
By attending, guests acknowledge that they may appear in photographs or video captured during the event and may be included in Breakhaus promotional, editorial, social media or other marketing materials.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact info@thebreakhaus.com in writing before the event, and we will make reasonable efforts to honour your request.
Event photography may be made available through the event gallery after the experience.
13. Personal Belongings & Liability
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the event.
The Breakhaus, event hosts, venues, chefs, sponsors and contributors are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.
Guests participate in outdoor activities, property tours and other aspects of the experience at their own discretion and assume responsibility for acting safely and appropriately.
14. Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, chefs, hosts, venue owners, farmers, producers and event partners.
Breakhaus reserves the right to refuse entry or remove a guest whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. No refund will be provided in these circumstances.
15. Event Information
Important event details, including arrival instructions, exact location, what to bring and transportation information where applicable, will be provided in your confirmation and/or in a reminder sent 48–72 hours before the event.
Guests are responsible for reviewing this information before attending.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in or under the jurisdiction of British Columbia.
