Everyone. Our experiences take many forms — from dinners and workshops to private shopping, brunches and other gatherings. Come on your own, with a partner, with friends or as a group. Each experience is designed to bring interesting people together around something worth sharing. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand — just come as you are and enjoy the experience.

Our experiences typically last 4.5–5 hours, usually timed to take you from sunlight to sunset.

They begin with an hour-long welcome social featuring beverages and light bites, followed by a local, seasonal and sustainable multi-course menu designed by our Featured Chef. Complimentary paired alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are generously provided by our beverage Partners.

When you arrive, you’ll check in with our host using your name on the guest list. Once everyone has arrived, your hosts will welcome the group and, depending on the location, may invite you to explore the property with a guided tour.

Following the welcome social, we’ll invite everyone to take their seat at the table. Dinner is served family-style, with dishes placed at the centre of the table for everyone to share.

It’s about more than the food, it’s about celebrating the land, the people who produce it, and the simple act of breaking bread together.

Sitting next to new friends is part of the experience. Everyone takes their seat at the long table at once, so we do not have assigned seating.

If you’re a party of five or more, we’re happy to do our best to seat you together with advance notice. If you’ve purchased tickets under separate reservations but are part of the same group, please let us know the name on each reservation so we can group you together.

Part of the fun is the element of surprise. Our multi-course menu is kept secret until you arrive, but in some cases, you may be able to select your main protein when purchasing your ticket, or choose a vegetarian option. We’ll clearly indicate any available choices in the individual experience description.

Due to the family-style nature of our meals, we’re able to accommodate vegetarian diets for some experiences, but we cannot guarantee that every experience will be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions or food allergies.

Each experience features a different Featured Chef and culinary point of view. We encourage guests to review the chef and their culinary style on the individual event page before purchasing, particularly if you have dietary considerations.

Our locations are often rustic, and accessibility may be limited. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please email us at info@thebreakhaus.com before purchasing your ticket. We’ll be happy to discuss your needs and do our best to accommodate you.

Dress codes may vary depending on the location and time of year, so we’ll include specific guidance in each individual experience description.

As many of our gatherings take place outdoors and in rustic settings, we recommend dressing comfortably and coming prepared for the elements. Layers and comfortable footwear are always a good idea.

We understand that things happen, but we encourage you to arrive on time so you don’t miss any part of the experience.

The welcome social gives everyone time to arrive, connect and settle in before we move to the table together. Once the experience is underway, we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals, particularly if a property tour or other scheduled activity is taking place.

If you’ve booked event transportation with us and are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to help you get to the location, but we cannot guarantee that transportation will be able to wait or return for late guests.

If you’re making your own way to the event and know you’ll be late, please contact us so we can advise you on the best way to join the group without disrupting the experience.

No, outside alcohol is not permitted. Each experience includes a selection of beverages during the welcome reception, along with curated wine pairings served at the table. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available upon request.

Our events include alcohol service and are strictly 21+. Given the length of the evening, family-style dining and out of respect for all guests, we kindly ask that children not attend.

As much as we love your fur babies, pets are not permitted.

If you plan to bring a registered service animal due to a necessary medical condition, please let us know in advance.

Our experiences take place rain or shine, and we encourage guests to come prepared for the conditions.

In the unlikely event that we need to postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, the event will be rescheduled and all purchases will be honoured for the new date. If we are able to reschedule the event, your ticket will be refunded, minus any applicable transaction fees.

If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled date, we’ll issue a credit for the original purchase amount, valid toward another Breakhaus experience of your choice within six months of the original event date.

Each gathering takes place at a different location, chosen to complement the food, people and story behind that particular experience. The exact location and directions will be provided in the individual experience description and again in your event reminder 72 hours before the gathering.

For select events, round-trip transportation may be available for an additional fee. If transportation is offered, this will be clearly outlined in the event description, along with pickup details and pricing.

We’ll upload photos from each event to the event gallery once they’re ready. We’ll share the gallery with you after the event so you can relive the moments and find your own photos.

If you share any photos from the event on social media or in a publication, we’d love for you to tag both the guest photographer and @the_breakhaus so we can properly credit the talented photographer and celebrate our community.
